Solarium and Sunroom Contractors

Create new indoor-outdoor space

Sunrooms, conservatories, and solariums

Decades ago, during the healthful, hygenic 1920s, a solarium or sunroom was considered by many to be the epitome of gracious living. Windows could be opened for fresh air, even in inclement weather, and it was an ideal place for growing plants and entertaining guests.

Until recently, sun porches, sun rooms, and solariums had retreated from the forefront of amenities considered most desirable by homeowners. They've made a resurgence in popularity, however, and today you can choose from a custom addition or any of a range of kits.

Many kits are designed to be easily erected, however, if you don't have the time or energy to do-it-yourself, there are many qualified contractors who can help select the best sunroom option for your home as well a build it, too.

Before getting started though, make sure you obtain current copies of your contractor's licensing and insurance. Ask for and check references. Make sure you know what warranties are offered by the contractor and the manufacturer's of any products you select. Everything should be spelled out in detail in the contract. Ask questions about any points you don't understand before work starts.

Whether you want to start vegetables or have a tea party, your sunroom will provide years of pleasure.
